Richland Community College's David Erlanson Gallery is proud to present our second art exhibition at the Lincoln Square Theatre, "Lincoln Theatre's Faded Glory". This event will feature the artwork of RCC instructor Ed Cicenas' Advanced Digital Photography students: Gail Bauer, Valerie Cook, Mark Henderson, David Ledbetter, Mary Lehman, Kim Morton, Jason Smalley, and Dan Sutton. Over the past 2 months, the students have photographically documented the ongoing restoration projects at the Lincoln Square Theatre. The photos are a fascinating look into what many times is never seen, preserving what will soon be gone forever – the faded glory of the past. The event will be one-night-only, April 4th, 2008 from 5pm to 8pm in the Lincoln Square Theatre lobby (141 N. Main St, Decatur, IL), with an artist talk at 5:45pm. Light refreshments will be served, and information regarding RCC's art classes will be available. This event is free and open to the public.

Since his move to Champaign-Urbana in 1957, the fertile fields and big skies of the central prairies of Illinois have been dominant themes. In 1971, the Shawnee Hills of far-southern Illinois where Breen and his wife, Diane, purchased acreage were added to Breen’s landscape subjects.
